It’s hot I know but we are off to check out the street art in this area. Do you remember how great it was when we visited it ages ago. We came by train to the mainland and stayed in Georgetown. The buildings in this area date back to the colonial times. The streetscape remains with traditional houses and shops with open storm drains.

Some areas still have rickshaws if you want the traditional transport experience.

I thought we were going to check out the street art. Here is some….so much has disappeared from what I remembered.

Much of the street art is now metal. Do you think it will last better?

Some of the streets are decorated .

It is great that they value their old buildings. This temple was built in the 1879 and is the only one of its type in this area.

The area is certainly a mix with Mosques as well as temples for other religions.

Did you spot these quirky signs?

Time to return to the ship. It’s hot and we have used the cruise terminal wifi to let you know our adventures.
