Today is our last day in New York. I know you and I had great plans to see lots of places but…….we did see some off our list. Being the last morning( remember we are sailing this afternoon) , we will brave the showers and go to Central Park.
A reminder of home in the subway..
Central Park is vast and shows considerable forethought by its creator. It is 843 acres. Within its borders are different spaces to relax, exercise and play. My favourite sign was the one for the children’s playground as a battlefield.
No those people are not sheep! The name is from an earlier period when sheep were used to keep the grass length down.
Formal flower gardens are not prevalent in Central. There are a few wild roses beds bud more common are flowers or shrubs that have self seeded.
.
Ooops time to go so no carriage ride for you.😔 or a last visit to the foodcarts. Past the buildings
Back to the hotel…..collect the bags and down to the ship. Wasn’t the embarkation easy?
