Harbourside Singapore
Are those buildings floating

You have been to Singapore before, I know but Singapore is constantly changing. Look how they have extended the island, and this is just in one place.

We will organise the suitcases to go to the airport to be collected just before check in. The lady there suggests we take the MRT to Gardens by the Bay as they have new displays in both the flower dome and Forest in the clouds. They even have a station there now.

So easy

What is the new display , you ask? It’s based on the Netherlands and tulips.

Are tulips and daffodils poisonous to sheep?
They are a little wooden but look happy.
Can you see the fox playing hide and seek?
Frilled tulip
I hope you took note.
I hope the giant isn’t here.

Just outside the Flower dome was a sculpture called “Love the last March “They were bronze animal statues and covered 192m. Pretty spectacular.

A drink , sure it is hot and then the Cloud Forest.

There was an azalea display here.

The normal plant display is amazing but I guess they have to add different events so that the Singapore people can enjoy the changes in the gardens. What do you think? We have visited a few times now and there is always new sculptures or plants to see.

It was great watching them mist the plants. The water seemed to form tiny clouds.

Clouds forming.

Tired. We will have a rest and then head to the airport. They have created a huge waterfall in a dome called the Jewel, near Terminal 1.

The Jewel is a collection of shops and entertainment activities such as walking out on a bridge near the waterfall, or climbing through a net above the canopy garden. It is a new experience for the locals to visit. The bottom of the waterfall has a garden display where people can just enjoy music and the water.

It is quite relaxing as long as you don’t want to visit umpteen shops. Time to head into the terminal and find our bags. Look there they are and look at that display.

The drops keep moving and undulating in patterns.

Time to head home. See you soon
