A capybara

Capybara’s are a giant rodent. Weren’t we lucky to see not one but a family. The bird cleans any ticks off the animal. They certainly win the competition for the cutest rodent as the wiggle their ears while they munch down on the reeds.

Baby

Are you sad as we head down the river? Despite the freezing showers, nail nibbling opossums , the lodge has been fun.

A real banana boat
Logs caught .

Look more Macaws on a clay cliff.

Macaws

Finally the airport.

Puerto Maldonado Airport.

This is an incredibly disorganised airport don’t you think? Inadequate seating and flights delayed….but the bags and all our group made it to Cusco. See you tomorrow but remember, eat light, drink lots……water or coke and not alcohol……take your altitude pills and eat chocolate. This will help you cope with the altitude but not attitude.😄😂🤣
